Learn How Thermo Scientific™ iCAP™ ICP-MS Instrumentation Can Power Through Difficult Sample Matrices for Environmental, Climate, and Other Research Areas
This event is now available on demand.
Event Overview:
Single quadrupole and triple quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry technologies (ICP-MS) are common inorganic trace elemental analysis tools in a variety of industries, including academic, environmental, and climate research. ICP-MS offers excellent sensitivity and selectivity for elemental analysis and is the preferred instrumentation choice for researchers who require low detection limits and/or isotopic information. Increasingly, ICP-MS is able to analyze high salt matrices with stable performance and robust sample handling.
This webcast will highlight the key role that Thermo Scientific™ iCAP™ TQ and iCAP RQplus ICP-MS instruments play in modern research applications, including analysis of airborne dust particles and high TDS environmental samples such as seawater.
Key Learning Objectives:
Discover how automated sample handling systems and gas dilution can support robust instrument performance when analyzing difficult samples for climate and environmental research—such as seawater and airborne dust particles
Understand how updated ICP-MS technologies can simplify workflow, increase productivity, and decrease maintenance requirements
Learn how Thermo Scientific iCAP instruments and Qtegra ISDS Software can assist with interference removal and optimize sensitivity
Who Should Attend:
Climate scientists and other researchers engaged in elemental analysis of environmental samples such as airborne dust particles, soils, or water samples with varying levels of dissolved solids, including seawater and brines
Laboratory managers and ICP-MS analysts interested in learning how argon gas dilution can increase productivity and reduce maintenance needs
Method development chemists who seek to benefit from interference removal technologies and to maximize single quadrupole and triple quadrupole ICP-MS detection limits in challenging samples
