Applications are now being accepted for the 2009Gordon Kirkbright Bursary. The Gordon F. Kirkbright bursaryaward is a prestigious annual award that enables apromising student/nontenured young scientist of anynation to attend a recognized scientific meeting or visit aplace of learning.
The fund for this bursary was established in 1985 as amemorial to Professor Gordon Kirkbright in recognitionof his contributions to analytical spectroscopy and to sciencein general. Although the fund is administered bythe Association of British Spectroscopists Trust, theaward is not restricted to spectroscopists.
