WHAT IT DOES: The SpectrumLITE app is designed for the display of the spectrum of light that can be emitted by the iPod or iPhone screen. According to the company, users can select a color from the diagram, and a line of color will appear. The width of the line reportedly can be varied by tapping the screen and selecting pixel width using the slider. The spectral line can be viewed using either a prism or a diffraction grating.
