Event Overview:

Efficient and reliable sample preparation is essential for food manufacturers and contract laboratories tasked with delivering accurate, regulatory-compliant analytical data. From elemental testing to nutritional profiling, laboratories must manage increasingly complex matrices while maintaining fast turnaround times and data integrity.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how microwave sample preparation technologies—including digestion, extraction, and hydrolysis—support high-throughput food and feed analysis. We’ll also address the “total workflow” approach that ultimately helps labs reduce processing time, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency across a wide range of applications.

Light Labs, a modern analytical testing facility committed to food safety and lab efficiency, will share how it leverages single reaction chamber (SRC) microwave technology to streamline trace metals analysis. Complementing this with multiple rotor-based microwave systems for targeted workflows like FAMEs and amino acid analysis, Light Labs will highlight how this dual approach enables it to scale operations and meet the evolving demands of industry clients and consumers.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how microwave-assisted sample preparation improves throughput, accuracy, and repeatability for food and feed testing laboratories.
  • Understand how SRC digestion enables complete breakdown of complex food matrices for precise trace metals analysis.
  • See how high-throughput rotor-based digestion supports specialized workflows like FAMEs and amino acids.
  • Gain insights from Light Labs on how integrated microwave technologies drive data quality and operational scalability in real-world applications.

Who Should Attend:

  • Anyone performing or overseeing elemental analysis
  • Lab directors
  • Lab managers/supervisors
  • Researchers
  • Chemists/analysts
  • Technicians/research assistants
  • QA/QC managers
