Event Overview:

In pharmaceutical laboratories, accuracy, reproducibility, and regulatory compliance are essential at every stage. From raw material identification to method development, dissolution testing, and QC assays, reliable results form the foundation of successful workflows.

The LAMBDA 365+ UV/Vis spectrophotometer is designed to not only meet but exceed the stringent requirements of global pharmacopoeia standards. Powered by Spectrum UV software, the system seamlessly adapts to diverse pharmaceutical applications while ensuring full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Its advanced client–server architecture accelerates validations, streamlines workflows, and delivers the confidence today’s pharmaceutical labs need to stay ahead.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Pharmacopeia method compliance including USP, Eur. Ph. and JP.
  • Understand the value of ES (enhanced security) software and client-server architecture in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
  • Instrument operational qualification according to industry standards such as USP <857>, Ph. Eur. 2.2.5 and JP <2.24>
  • Applications including solvent purity and biomolecule quantification

Who Should Attend:

  • Scientists working in UV or UV-Vis
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturers, quality control QA/QC, Compliance managers, Lab Managers

Speakers:

Kieran Evans
Product Manager – UV
Perkin Elmer

Kieran Evans is the UV product manager at PerkinElmer overseeing the UV/Vis, UV/Vis/NIR and Fluorescence product lines. Kieran obtained a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Surrey with a focus on spectroscopic identification of natural products and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in environmental analytical chemistry using TGA-GC/MS to detect tire wear particles in the environment. He has also developed applications for several other techniques including thermal analysis (DSC & TGA) and molecular spectroscopy (FT-IR, FT-NIR, UV/Vis & fluorescence).

Valentina Paolucci
Sr. Application Scientist
Perkin Elmer

Dr. Valentina Paolucci, Ph.D., works on the Molecular Spectroscopy Portfolio at PerkinElmer. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Copenhagen and before joining PerkinElmer, she worked across various industries as Development Leader and Technical Sales Specialist supporting customers with material application and process issues. She has expertise in molecular spectroscopy, microscopy and chromatography for the analytical characterization of nanomaterials, textile and metallurgic materials
