Previewing the 10th International Conference on Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

Author(s)Will Wetzel

The upcoming 10th International Conference on Tip-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy is set to take place from June 3–5, 2026, in Zurich, Switzerland. Here’s what attendees can expect.

The International Conference on Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS) brings together leading academic and industry researchers to discuss the latest advances in TERS and related nanoscale characterization techniques.

The meeting focuses on both fundamental principles and emerging applications of TERS, highlighting progress in areas such as spatial resolution, signal enhancement, methodological robustness, reliability, and comparability.1 In addition to TERS, the program also explores complementary technologies including scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM), tip-enhanced photoluminescence (TEPL), and atomic force microscopy–infrared spectroscopy (AFM-IR).1 Featuring invited lectures, contributed talks, industry presentations, and poster sessions, the conference has grown into a prominent global forum since its launch in 2009. Hosted at ETH Zurich, a pioneering institution in TERS research, the event offers an especially fitting setting to celebrate the field’s continued development and international impact.1

Where and when will the conference take place?

The TERS10 Conference is set to take place Hönggerberg Campus of ETH Zurich, hosted in room HCI J7. This conference is set over the course of three days, from June 3–5, 2026.
