From quick and inexpensive measurements in complex situations, to sample identification rivaling expert abilities or online quality control – the possibilities are endless.

In this application note, we focus on identification of adulterants in ground spices. Reflectance spectra collected using Ocean Optics spectroscopic systems can reveal features signaling common spice adulterants, providing rapid on-site quality assessment without the need for chemical analysis.
