The New York Section of the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (NYSAS) has announced its initial lineup of speakers for its fall 2017 meetings. Meetings are held monthly, and are open to all; membership in SAS or the New York chapter is not required. Attendance costs $15-20 and $5 for students to cover the cost of a light dinner, and participants are asked to register in advance to assist with food planning. Meetings usually start with a networking session, followed by dinner and the presentation. In November, in addition to the regular monthly meeting, the NYSAS will present an award at the Eastern Analytical Symposium.
