In September 2025, Columbus, Ohio, will host Analytica USA, marking the North American debut of the Munich-based laboratory trade fair. Scheduled for September 10–12, the event is designed to bring together professionals across analytical science, laboratory technology, and quality assurance. Organized by Messe München GmbH, the fair combines a trade exhibition with a scientific conference, tailored to research and development laboratories across multiple disciplines.

Spectroscopists working in Raman, infrared, ultraviolet-visible (UV‑Vis), mass spectrometry, and hyphenated techniques are likely to find the combination of exhibition and conference particularly valuable. Attendees can explore emerging developments in method integration, data analysis, and practical applications in environmental, pharmaceutical, and biomedical research. Organizers expect roughly 2,000 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors across 75,000 square feet of exhibition space, positioning analytica USA among the larger analytical science trade fairs in North America.
A central feature of the event is the scientific conference. One spectroscopy-relevant session is “Proteomics & Imaging in One Health,” scheduled for September 10, 2025. Presenters Albert Sickmann from Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften (ISAS) and Amanda Hummon from Ohio State University will explore the intersection of LC–MS-based proteomics and imaging mass spectrometry with health-related research.
The event’s structure combines exhibition, conference programming, and hands-on demonstrations, offering a single-venue opportunity for attendees to explore multiple technologies, compare instruments, and attend technical presentations. For exhibitors, it provides a platform to showcase innovations to a broad audience of researchers and laboratory managers.
Columbus was selected for its central U.S. location, accessibility, and infrastructure to support large-scale events. Its proximity to universities, industrial laboratories, and regional markets makes it an attractive hub for domestic and international participants. By hosting the fair in Ohio, organizers aim to attract a diverse audience while providing exhibitors with practical exposure to North American laboratories.
As Analytica USA approaches, attendees should monitor the conference schedule for additional sessions on spectral methods, instrumentation, and applied research.
